Full-length open submissions for C&R Press's 2027 and 2028 catalogs and beyond: novels, poetry, short story collections, creative nonfiction, memoir, essays, experimental and hybrid work, and strong genre work. For novels and memoirs, include a synopsis. Q4 opens September through December 1; reading can take 6-12 months.

$1,250 prize and publication for a novel or short story collection; no maximum page count. Include a short summary and a longer synopsis of up to 250 words, plus a bio. The deadline is September 21, 2026; winner, finalists, and longlist are expected in December 2026, possibly January or February.
