Open to: Submissions must be related to Nikkei experiences, history, and/or culture.
Nikkei-related personal stories, essays, memoirs, academic papers, book reviews, and other prose about experiences, history, culture, identity, heritage, and community are accepted in English, Japanese, Spanish, or Portuguese. English, Spanish, and Portuguese articles should be 600–1,500 words; Japanese articles should be 1,000–3,000 characters. Poetry and video are not accepted. Submissions are accepted by email through October 31, 2026, at 6 p.m. PDT, with stories published on a rolling basis.
