Fabula Argentea

Accepts quality fiction up to 8,000 words throughout the year; most subject matter is welcome except fan fiction and erotica. Stories should be unexpected or unusual, emotionally resonant, creative, clear, and have a strong ending. Previously published stories are accepted if not currently available on a personal website and preferably not freely available electronically elsewhere. Submissions are cut off approximately one month before the January, April, July, and October issues; later submissions roll to the next issue.
