Submission calls

fictionPays: $40 per accepted work

Short fiction with sparse, clear, evocative prose; not exclusively science fiction but open to it; 400-3,000 words; Southern and Western tales may be submitted under the Double Dealer label.

nonfictionPays: $40 per accepted work

Essays on any subject, especially civic development, infrastructure, politics, energy, history, technology, economics, media, literature, and entertainment; should describe the present or past and point toward the future; 400-2,000 words; pitches also accepted.
