Flash-fiction submissions for the website are open. Submit a complete crime-fiction story of 500–1,000 words; no vignettes or novel excerpts. The story is published exclusively on the website and archived perpetually, with one year of exclusivity after publication. No pay, multiple submissions, or simultaneous submissions.

Print-magazine submissions are closed. Guilty wants original, unpublished crime fiction about criminals from their perspective; no speculative elements, cozies, police procedurals or private-eye stories unless specifically requested, spy fiction, or novel excerpts. Stories must be 3,500–6,000 words, with 3,500–4,500 preferred. Flat $10 payment via PayPal after contract; no reprints, multiple submissions, or simultaneous submissions.
