Open to: Stories must be in English or an invented language accessible to English speakers; settings must be pre-1825 or a fantasy equivalent, and content must be vegan, with limited exceptions for wool and honey without animal abuse or cruelty.

Seeks cozy, sweet, hopeful, lightly romantic slice-of-life stories with nature, rural life, family, relationships, comfort, kindness, magic, or related themes. Stories must be set before roughly 1825 or in a fantasy equivalent, preferably outside cities; no violence, weapons, combat, war, modern technology, Christmas stories, well-known fairy-tale retellings, or non-vegan content. Length: 1,000–10,000 words. Submissions are open March 1–31 and September 1–30, closing at 10pm PST on the final day; March submissions are for a June release and September submissions for a December release.
