fictionFantasyOpens Aug 1, 2027
Short story submissions are closed and will reopen August 1, 2027. The magazine seeks specific, weird sword-and-sorcery stories, strongly discouraging standardized fantasy elements such as elves, orcs, dragons, and dwarves; genre blending is read with an open mind. Original stories only, 4,000 to 6,000 words. Submissions must be sent in .doc or .docx format; the September 1, 2026 deadline has passed, and submissions received afterward will not receive a response.
