Philly Poetry Chapbook Review

Open to: Reviewers must not have a personal or financial relationship with the book, press, or author; reviews and features must be original and previously unpublished.

Reviews and author-feature queries are always open. Reviews should cover forthcoming or recently published chapbooks, or multiple books published within the past three years; reviews are 300–1,200 words, with pieces over 600 words considered essays. Author features favor researched, interview-based creative-nonfiction profiles; single-author or publisher features should be at least 1,000 words.

The magazine is always accepting poem, story, or essay excerpts from chapbooks and full-length poetry, fiction, or prose collections for consideration, along with book reviews and author features. There are no submission fees. Digital galleys or ARCs may be sent with a brief description and author bio.

Closed until November 1 for the Winter 2027 issue and beyond. Seeks meaningful literary fiction, including speculative, flash, experimental, and hybrid work. Submit one 1,000–5,000-word story or up to three flash pieces of 500–1,000 words each. A $10 honorarium is paid, and first-round decisions usually arrive within a week or two.

Closed until November 1 for the Winter 2027 issue and beyond. Seeks serious, meaningful poetry; submit three to five poems, each 40 non-space lines or fewer. Avoid tired metered end-rhyme forms and century-old short forms such as haiku and tanka; free verse and other serious forms are welcome. A $10 honorarium is paid, and first-round decisions usually arrive within a week or two.
