Philly Poetry Chapbook Review

Open to: Submissions are accepted from anywhere in the world; work must be at least 50% English and may not have been previously published in a periodical.

Original fiction submissions are open until September 15 for the Fall 2026 issue and beyond. Literary fiction may include speculative, flash, experimental, and hybrid work. Submit one 1,000–5,000-word story or up to three flash pieces of 500–1,000 words each. A $10 honorarium is paid.

Open to: Reviewers must not have a personal or financial relationship with the book, press, or author; reviews and features must be original and previously unpublished.

Review and author-feature submissions and queries are always open. Reviews of poetry and prose chapbooks should be 300–1,200 words; pieces over 600 words are considered essays. Author features are generally at least 1,000 words, with finished work accepted but pitches encouraged. Reviews and features receive a $10 token fee.

The magazine is always accepting poem, story, and essay excerpts from chapbooks and full-length poetry or fiction collections, as well as poetry and prose chapbook and full-length poetry or fiction books for consideration. Excerpts may be up to five poems, up to three stories, or excerpts under 5,000 words.

Submit three to five poems, each 40 non-space lines or fewer; tired traditional forms are discouraged, while free verse and serious work in forms such as non-rhyming sonnets, ghazals, and pantoums are welcome.
