Submission calls
The magazine prefers well-plotted science-fiction stories set in humanity’s spacefaring future, with a novum, developed characters, commentary on the human condition, and preferably hopeful humanist values. It does not want near-future fiction, dystopias, far-right propaganda, or AI-written stories; slipstream and flash fiction are difficult sells. Short stories should preferably be at least 1,500 words and no more than 8,000 words; novellas and fully written serialized novels may also be considered.
Seeks reviews of classic and new science-fiction releases, writing tips, science-fiction writing advice, worldbuilding tips, and SF prompts. Articles should be 800 to 2,000 words; reviews should not cover fantasy or horror.
