Flash fiction, flash nonfiction, and prose poetry under 1,000 words are accepted on a rolling basis from the 1st to the 15th of each month, excluding December, January, May, June, July, and August.
Distinctive, character-driven short stories under 6,000 words; novel excerpts should stand alone as stories. General submissions are open October 1–December 1 and January 1–May 1, with a 300-submission cap per genre.
Creative nonfiction essays in all forms, including flash, are welcome; traditional personal essays and boundary-pushing work are sought, with submissions under 6,000 words. General submissions are open October 1–December 1 and January 1–May 1, with a 300-submission cap per genre.
