General submissions are accepted March 1–May 1 and October 1–December 1. Submit a short story of no more than 3,000 words or up to 3 flash fictions of less than 750 words each in one document.

nonfictionLiteraryOpens Oct 1

General submissions are accepted March 1–May 1 and October 1–December 1. Traditional personal essays, memoir, experimental or research-driven work, and hybrid poetry-nonfiction are welcome; submit one piece of no more than 4,000 words or up to 3 flash essays of less than 1,000 words each.

poetryLiteraryOpens Oct 1

General submissions are accepted March 1–May 1 and October 1–December 1. Submit up to 3 poems in a single document; prose poems, poetry with prose elements, and traditional poetry are welcome.

otherOpens Jul 15, 2027

The annual Summer Collaboration Contest runs July 15–August 31. Submit collaborative work by two or more writers in any or mixed genre, limited to 1,000 words or less; winners receive a $300 prize and publication.
