fictionLiteraryFantasyEligibility requirementsPays: No payment; work is showcased in the review, and the author retains all rights, with exclusive Internet rights requested for an agreed period.

Open to: previously unpublished work is accepted.

Accepts previously unpublished short fiction year-round, across genres and styles, although gritty realism is favored over fantasy, magic realism, and slipstream. Tales, fables, reworked fairy tales, vignettes, and non-self-contained novel extracts are not considered. Maximum 5,500 words; submit one story at a time.

Open to: previously unpublished work is accepted.

Accepts previously unpublished creative nonfiction year-round, including personal essays, memoir, and think-pieces that fit the review. Literary criticism and academic pieces are not sought. Under 3,000 words has the best chance, but pieces up to 5,000 words are considered.
