Annual flash-fiction competition for stories on any topic, in all genres, written in English for adult readers; maximum 250 words excluding the title. Entries open 1 May and close 31 August at 23:59 UK time. Stories must be unpublished, unbroadcast, not prize-winning, anonymous, and entirely the entrant’s own work; AI-created stories are prohibited. Prizes include £2,000, £400, £200, a £500 Golden Hare Award, and a £250 Write Mango Award.
