Emotionally resonant, literary-quality poetry with a clear speculative element, including fantasy, science fiction, or surrealism. No horror. There are no formal length restrictions; preferred forms include lineated free verse, limited traditional forms of at least 9 lines, and prose poems of at least 50 words. Poetry reading periods are November 2026 and May 2027.
Speculative and imaginative genre short fiction, including flash fiction. Stories may be up to 10,000 words; flash fiction is 1,000 words or less. No horror, zombies, elves, retold fairy tales, sports, westerns, werewolves, vampires, gratuitous sex or violence, or severely political stories. Fiction reading periods are February 1–7, 2027 and August 1–7, 2027, Eastern time.
