Starspun Lit

Open to: Stories must be for children or young adults in one of the specified age categories: 6–9, 10–13, or 14–16.

Currently seeking science-fiction and dystopian stories for ages 6–9, 10–13, and 14–16 for the Sci-Fun! special issue, released in the fall. Stories must be under 3,500 words for the special issue and may be up to 5,000 words generally; fantasy must be set in a different world, and urban fantasy is not accepted. Violence, extreme swearing, sex, and stories revolving around death are discouraged or prohibited. Response times are a couple of weeks to a month; query after two months without a response.
