Regular submissions are open starting July 1. Send complete stories from 2 to 20 pages; flash and microfiction under 1,000 words may be combined with up to 3 pieces in one document. There is no hard word count, but works over 5,000 words must be exceptional.
Creative nonfiction should connect personal experience with broader human experience, tell a story, and have a clear beginning and end. Send one piece up to 6,000 words; flash and micro nonfiction under 1,000 words may be combined with up to 3 pieces.
Suites are series of 3–6 short pieces submitted as one unit, up to 10 pages, including poetry, fiction, images, or combinations. The work should function as a broader aesthetic, thematic, or narrative whole; individual pieces are not considered separately.
Poetry in any form should challenge form, language, or society and offer a distinctive voice. Send up to 3 poems in one single-spaced document; there is no line limit.
