Submission calls
The 2025 Summer Flash Fiction Competition accepted entries from 17 January to 14 February 2025 on the theme “Touch,” with a 100-word limit, up to two entries per person, and results announced on 17 February. Entries are limited to writers based in Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Aniko Magazine is closed and publishes original, unpublished poetry, flash fiction, short stories, and creative nonfiction responding to the issue’s theme; experimental work is also accepted. Each published piece receives $125 AUD.
