Aquifer welcomes literary fiction ranging from flash to long stories up to 9,000 words, including realism, fabulism, voice-driven work, narrative play, and standalone novel excerpts; up to three short-shorts may be submitted if the total is under 15 pages.
Aquifer welcomes memoir, braided, lyric, hermit crab, fragmented, flash, hybrid, literary journalism, and reportage with a personal element; scholarly essays are not published. Prose may be up to 30 manuscript pages or 9,000 words, with up to three flash pieces under 15 pages.
Aquifer seeks poems with emotional and intellectual depth, texture, and verve; experimental, traditional, prose-poetry, and hybrid forms are welcome. Submit no more than five poems.
