Brick accepts finished, polished literary nonfiction, including essays, reviews, interviews, memoir, translations, and explorations of nonfiction form. Submissions are open October 1–31 and April 1–30; Brick tends toward 1,000–5,000 words but sets no formal word limit. Work must be previously unpublished, non-AI-generated, and submitted through Submittable. Free submissions may reach the platform cap before the period ends; submit-and-subscribe and submit-and-buy-an-issue options remain open throughout. Up to a year for a response.
