Stories up to 7,200 words; genre fiction accepted if it has literary merit or transcends/challenges genre; one piece per submission; payment: $150-$200 per story; annual reading period September 15 – April 15.

Flash fiction up to 500 words per piece, up to five pieces per submission; genre fiction accepted if it has literary merit or transcends/challenges genre; payment: $150-$200 per story; annual reading period September 15 – April 15.

nonfictionLiteraryOpens Sep 15

Personal, cultural, political, and other essays, and self-contained memoir sections; 1,500-5,000 words, one piece per submission; payment: $100-$150 per essay; annual reading period September 15 – April 15.

poetryLiteraryOpens Sep 15

Send up to five poems per submission via Submittable (international writers may use email); annual reading period September 15 – April 15; payment: $75-$100 per poem.
