Open to: new or unpublished writers: must not have (a) traditionally published a novel >40,000 words, (b) self-published a novel >40,000 words and sold 100+ copies, (c) sold 4+ short fiction works to pro markets (8c/word+), (d) self-published 10,000+ words of short fiction with $500+ profit, or (e) won a fiction contest with a prize >$2,500.

Monthly themed short fiction; 500–2000 words, any genre, must follow the current month's prompt; only new or unpublished writers may submit (see detailed eligibility); simultaneous and multiple submissions allowed; $0.10/word payment.
