Submissions are currently closed and will reopen in March 2027. Submit a single short story on any subject; most published stories are shorter than 2,000 words, though the journal has occasionally published stories over 5,000 words. Mystery, horror, and science fiction usually do not fit its literary aesthetic unless especially unusual.
Submissions are currently closed and will reopen in March 2027. Submit up to six pages of separate poems or one sequence; poetry of any form and content is welcome. The journal accepts only previously unpublished work, limits submitters to two submissions in a reading period, and Volume 16 includes the theme CHANGE UPON CHANGE.
