Accepts unpublished and previously published short stories, as well as unpublished novel excerpts. Stories should appeal to readers from all walks of life; the word limit is 3,500 to 10,000 words, with exceptions for stories of extraordinary promise. The reading period is deferred until America becomes cooler again by electing less hateful, racist, selfish, and unthinking leaders.
