The Crab Creek Review Poetry Prize is open February 15 through May 15. Past judges have included Jericho Brown, Maggie Smith, Kelli Russell Agodon, Rena Priest, and Vandana Khanna.
General fiction submissions are accepted annually September 15–October 15; send one piece of up to 5,000 words. The magazine seeks authentic, narratively engaging, well-crafted fiction. Previously published and AI-generated work is not considered.
General creative nonfiction submissions are accepted annually September 15–October 15; send one piece of up to 1,500 words. The magazine seeks emotionally nuanced, craft-driven prose with personal philosophical reflection, including narrative, hybrid, lyric, experimental, haibun, and zuihitsu forms; it excludes criticism, scholarly articles, and straight reportage.
General poetry submissions are accepted annually September 15–October 15; send up to four poems. The magazine seeks original, risk-taking, well-crafted work and excludes discriminatory, defamatory, intolerant, or hateful work. Previously published and AI-generated work is not considered.
