Flash Point SF

Speculative flash fiction from 100 to 1,000 words, including science fiction, fantasy, slipstream, seasonal stories, and other work with an SF&F element. The regular submission windows are February 1–March 31, June 1–July 31, and October 1–October 31; the Holiday Contest window is September 1–September 15. No horror as the primary appeal, literary fiction without an SF&F element, fan fiction, unsolicited reprints, simultaneous submissions, or AI-generated work.

Holiday Contest submissions are for holiday-themed stories only and are accepted September 1–September 15. Stories must be 100 to 1,000 words and contain an SF&F element; seasonal stories should be submitted at least three months before the relevant occasion.
