Open for formerly published flash fiction that is at least two years old if published online, or from any time if published in print. Flash fiction is 401–1,000 words; writers may submit up to two stories and must credit the original journals.

Open year-round for microfiction of 400 words or fewer and flash fiction of 401–1,000 words, with emotional resonance and characters revealed through their actions and responses. Writers may submit up to two stories.
