Open to: Submissions are sought from bigender/polygender, cisgender women, intergender/intersex, non-binary/gender-non-conforming, transgender/transfeminine, and two-spirit writers; cis men should not submit.

Short fiction up to 10,000 words; submit one de-identified, original work at a time. The current Winter 2026 issue submission period is August 1–October 31, with the theme Light.

Open to: The profile subject must be an unknown or underrepresented cis woman, trans woman, queer woman, or nonbinary person; submitters must meet HerStry’s stated gender eligibility, and cis men should not submit.

Profiles are pitches for the AMPLIFY series about an unknown or underrepresented cis woman, trans woman, queer woman, or nonbinary person; submit one or two well-thought-out paragraphs, not a complete essay, and no more than one pitch per cycle. The current Winter 2026 submission period is August 1–October 31, with the theme Light.
