The Anne Frydman Translation Prize opens for contest submissions in April for emerging and early-career translators; prize amount is $1,500.
The fMRI Writing Prize is a flash-fiction contest opening in June for Baltimore youth and adult writers; entry is free and the prize is $500.
Open for unsolicited submissions in September. Submit one story, generally no more than 8,000 words, or up to four flash-fiction pieces; previously published fiction is not considered. Simultaneous submissions are allowed.
