Submission calls
Seeking ten action-oriented stories in the traditions of sword and sorcery, dark fantasy, and dying Earth, with a through line of horror and personal, visceral stakes. Non-Western settings and weird, horrifying sublime situations are welcome; avoid standardized fantasy, world-shattering stakes, stereotypical D&D or Lovecraftian monsters, and magic systems. Wordcount: 1500-2500. Reprints are not accepted; simultaneous submissions are allowed, and multiple submissions are not.
