Open to fiction illuminating life and society in Asia, up to 3,500 words. Fiction may take around six months to appear in print, and unsuccessful submissions receive no response; if there is no response after six weeks, assume rejection.

Open to: The submission must have a clear connection with Asia.

Welcomes Asia-related articles, essays, reportage, personal observations, interviews, profiles, and cultural writing for a nonspecialist readership; feature articles are usually under 3,000 words, profiles up to 3,000, and Asian Encounters around 800 words up to approximately 1,500. Academic papers are not sought.
