Short story submissions are always welcome by email. Submit one story at a time, no longer than 1,000 words; excerpts from larger works are acceptable if limited to 1,000 words. Mad Swirl does not accept simultaneous submissions, overtly political work, audio/video-only work, or AI-generated work.
Poetry submissions are always welcome by email. Submit up to three poems at a time, or up to five haiku; poems should generally be limited to one page. Mad Swirl does not accept simultaneous submissions, overtly political work, audio/video-only work, or AI-generated work.
