Fiction submissions open August 15–October 15. Meridian rarely publishes prose over 5,000 words. Submission fee is $3.

Poetry submissions open August 15–October 15; each submission may include up to five unpublished poems totaling no more than ten pages. Submission fee is $3.
Editors’ Prizes in Poetry and Prose accept submissions October 15–December 15. The Prose Prize is for prose of 5,000 words or fewer; the Poetry Prize allows up to four poems totaling ten pages. Entry fee is $12.
The Short Prose Prize accepts prose of 1,000 words or fewer from June 1 through August 15; the winner receives $250 and publication, and the runner-up is also published. Entry fee is $6.
