Open no-fee submissions are accepted electronically through Submittable January 1–February 1. Submit up to three unpublished narrative poems, each no more than 50 lines; poems may be personal or historical and may use any style, including prose poetry.
The annual contest accepts up to three unpublished narrative poems, each no more than 50 lines, submitted electronically through Submittable. Poems may be personal or historical, in any style including prose poetry, and should be well-crafted, lyrical, emotionally strong, and story-driven. Contest submissions are open July 1–September 1, 2026; winners receive prize money, and finalists and semifinalists receive publication and a journal copy.
