Seeks character-driven stories about people or things out of place, including horror, science fiction, fantasy, noir, slipstream, Western, and mainstream fiction. Avoid vampires, unmotivated alcoholic villains, stories about writers, sword and sorcery, deals with the devil, and revenge without another point. Prefer 5,000 words or less; stories up to 6,000 words are harder to sell. Send one story at a time by email.

poetryLiterary

Seeks poetry related to its interest in outsiders and otherness. Prefer poems of 40 lines or less and will consider longer poems, but not epic-length work. Send up to three poems at a time by email.
