Open to: self-identified 2SLGBTQIA+ writers

Completed nonfiction only, not pitches: queer-history investigations, criticism, personal essays, memoir, genre-blurring creative nonfiction, and non-US perspectives. Nonfiction is open year-round.

fictionScience FictionFantasyHorror

Speculative fiction reprints that cannot currently be read online for free; typically 500–7,500 words, with occasional consideration of novelettes up to 17,500 words. Reprints will open again later in 2026.

Speculative fiction of any kind, including fantasy and science fiction; 500–4,000 words, no exceptions. Original fiction is accepted in quarterly windows, with extensions and limited early windows for eligible writers.

Previously unpublished speculative poetry in any form or style, including science-fictional, fantastical, slipstream, weird, and literary poems; up to three poems per submission. Poems over 100 lines are a harder sell. Original poetry is accepted in quarterly windows.
