The RR Flash Fiction Prize is open October 1-October 31 every year.

poetryLiteraryCloses Oct 31Fee-free; optional tip jar.Pays: $15 per work used and one copy of the magazine; payment is via PayPal on publication, or extra copies for writers without a bank account or PayPal.

General poetry submissions are open July 1-October 31 and January 1-March 31. Send up to five poems in one file. The magazine seeks emotionally and intellectually complex poetry with memorable language, images, sound, lyricism, or strong narratives. Reprints are allowed only for poems appearing in or forthcoming from the author's book or chapbook, if the author retains rights.

General short fiction submissions are open January 1-March 31 and October 1-October 31. Submit fiction of 1,001-7,500 words; 4,000-5,000 words is more likely to be accepted. Literary stories with genre elements are welcome, especially stories from unique voices, perspectives, or relatively unknown places.

General flash fiction submissions are open January 1-March 31. Flash fiction is up to 1,000 words, preferably with narrative elements rather than only images; literary stories with genre elements are welcome.
