Currently accepting fiction for Rawhead & Bloody Bones: Halloween 2026 and Rawhead: Point Blank. Rawhead seeks emotionally powerful stories with strong narrative arcs, unusual or underrepresented perspectives, and occasional ghost-story elements. Fiction and nonfiction are accepted up to 3,000 words; one longer piece or up to two shorter works may total 4,000 words, and flash or experimental pieces under 1,000 words may include up to three works. The Bloody Bones window runs August 15 to October 1.

Currently accepting hybrid work for Rawhead & Bloody Bones: Halloween 2026 and Rawhead: Point Blank. Hybrid submissions may blend prose, poetry, lyric essays, images, comics, sound, or video; provide a brief description. One larger work may be up to 3,000 words, or five shorter pieces may follow the prose limits, with up to 10 images or 1–3 videos or sound pieces. The Bloody Bones window runs August 15 to October 1.
