Seeks up to three previously unpublished poems with excellent imagery and a strong sense of voice; free verse is preferred, though traditional forms are welcome. Submissions close at 8:00 p.m. Pacific on the deadline date or when the submission cap is reached. The regular reading fee is $3; a no-fee early-bird option is available for the first 50 submissions for fixed-income and student writers.
Annual First Chapbook Contest runs July 1–31. Manuscript submissions will next open in Summer 2027.
