Year-round submissions for one unpublished short story, up to approximately 4,000 words. True genre fiction such as horror, science fiction, and mysteries is not published, but genre elements such as fabulism and magical realism are welcome; self-contained novel excerpts are accepted.

Year-round submissions for up to three unpublished flash-fiction pieces, up to approximately 1,000 words each. Microfiction or linked stories may include up to six pieces, limited to 4,000 words total; true genre fiction is not published, though genre elements are welcome.

Translations of contemporary poetry and prose are welcome with permission; the English translation must be previously unpublished, while the original may have appeared elsewhere. Follow the word-count and content rules for the relevant poetry, fiction, or essay genre.
