Submission calls
Regular nonfiction submissions are accepted August 1–November 1; the page limit is 25 double-spaced pages. Payment is $0.08 per word, with a $100 minimum. The annual nonfiction contest opens January 1 and closes January 31.

Reviews and interviews are accepted through November 2, 2026. Reviews and interviews should be complete submissions of 1,500–3,000 words; reviews should address recently published books, and interviews should be in-depth conversations. Reviews pay $0.08 per word and interviews pay $300 each.
