English-language short stories, preferably featuring female protagonists well into adulthood; no coming-of-age stories. Previously unpublished work only, with no machine-generated or AI text. Submit 2,000–10,000 words; up to four submissions annually, one per quarterly issue. Authors receive $200 and may advance to the $1,000 Charlotte Ann Porter Prize for Fiction.
