Response time info: Editors notify writers of decisions by December 25; writers may request an update after January 1.

fictionLiteraryEligibility requirementsCloses Nov 1Pays: Contributors receive two copies of the magazine and are invited to read at the annual reception.

Open to: Work must be previously unpublished and written entirely by a human author.

Previously unpublished fiction is accepted during the July 15–November 1, 2026 submission period; the suggested 2027 theme is “Connection: Networks, Relationships, and Alienation.” Prose submissions are limited to 2,000 words per submission period. Editors select work in November and notify writers by December 25.
