General poetry submissions may include up to 3 poems in one file; work must be previously unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere. Writers may submit only one category per submission period. Submissions for the Featured Poet slot are accepted in November each year and require 8 unpublished poems, residence in Ireland or considering Ireland home, and 3 publication credits from the past 3 years.
Short fiction and novel extracts are accepted when a submission round is open; work must be previously unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere. Writers may submit only one category per submission period. Fiction is paid €50 per magazine page, with a minimum of €375 and maximum of €1,250.
Nonfiction, including shorter essays and graphic nonfiction, is accepted when a submission round is open; work must be previously unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere. Writers may submit only one category per submission period. Shorter essays of 1–2 pages are paid €175.
