Stories and memoirs should be 4,000 words or less. The magazine accepts submissions online or by mail during its reading period, January 1 through April 14; no simultaneous or previously published submissions.
Critical articles should be about 1,200 to 2,500 words; Table Talk items should be 1,000 words or less. Articles should be broader essays of national or international interest. Submissions are accepted January 1 through April 14, with no simultaneous or previously published work.
