fictionPays: short story, $25; short-short piece under 1000 words, $10

Short stories (all types, both traditional and experimental) up to 20 double-spaced pages, must relate to one of the upcoming premises: 'Waiting in Line' (deadline July 1, 2026), 'Sent by Mistake' (deadline November 1, 2026), or 'In your Dreams...' (deadline March 1, 2027). Indicate premise on title

nonfictionPays: nonfiction/essay, $25

Essays must relate to one of the upcoming premises: 'Waiting in Line' (deadline July 1, 2026), 'Sent by Mistake' (deadline November 1, 2026), or 'In your Dreams...' (deadline March 1, 2027). Indicate premise on title page. No handwritten manuscripts. No email submissions except from outside the US.

poetryPays: poem, $10

All types of poetic form welcome; submit no more than three poems per theme. Poems must relate to one of the upcoming premises: 'Waiting in Line' (deadline July 1, 2026), 'Sent by Mistake' (deadline November 1, 2026), or 'In your Dreams...' (deadline March 1, 2027).
