Open to: Writers aged 50 and over strongly favored, but slightly younger writers considered if work fits the magazine's ethos.
Short stories: literary fiction only (no genre fiction such as sci-fi, fantasy, romance, crime); maximum 3000 words; submit only one story at a time; open to naturalistic, experimental, surreal, or comical styles; must be polished; no previously published work.

Open to: Writers aged 50 and over strongly favored, but slightly younger writers considered if work fits the magazine's ethos.
Poetry: up to 3 poems per submission, each poem 40 lines or fewer; welcomes narrative poems, haiku, haibun, prose poetry, and modern/formal forms; favors free verse and contemporary forms; subtle or humorous rhyme only; no previously published work.
