Folklore Review is a biannual magazine seeking poetry, short stories, flash fiction, creative nonfiction, art, and themed micro works inspired by folklore.

General submissions: short stories and creative nonfiction inspired by folklore, 1001-5000 words, previously unpublished; issues are biannual and themes center around seasons (spring/fall and summer/winter).

General submissions: flash fiction inspired by folklore, 1000 words or less, previously unpublished; issues are biannual and themes center around seasons (spring/fall and summer/winter).

nonfictionFantasyHorror

General submissions: creative nonfiction inspired by folklore, 1001-5000 words, previously unpublished; issues are biannual and themes center around seasons (spring/fall and summer/winter).

otherFantasyHorror

Micro Series: themed micro fiction (150 words or less) and micro poems (25 words or less), up to two works per submission, previously unpublished; calls are themed, cap at 100 submissions or one week after the call is made.

poetryFantasyHorror

General submissions: up to five poems inspired by folklore in a single document, previously unpublished; issues are biannual and themes center around seasons (spring/fall and summer/winter).
